When in reality, select hits in the amazing Burt Bacharach-Hal David catalogue are constantly being covered, re-recorded or just revisited in their original form...

A new local professional ensemble, Harbor Lights Theater Co. launched itself at the St. George Theatre earlier this spring with a polished new revue, “Stephen Schwartz: Making Music,” written by company founding director Tamara Jenkins.
Tough act to follow, HLTC may have a worthy successor, “Back to Bacharach — and David,” a review of the pop genius (represented this season on Broadway with “Promises, Promises”) playing July 23 to Aug. 1 at Veterans Memorial Hall.
